Equestrian Classics' design studio and production shop, located in Lexington Kentucky, is dedicated to creating the finest leather goods available. With an extensive knowledge of historic and modern construction techniques, our craftsmen transform the finest hides and skins into functional works of art. These items are destined to enrich those who understand and appreciate the difference, and subscribe to the old adage that "form follows function". Our craftsmen acknowledge their indebtedness to the craftsmen who went before them, while continuing to innovate the leather classics of tomorrow.
The Lexington studio of Equestrian Classics houses an extensive archive of items made in part or wholly of leather, accompanied by a collection of written materials covering all aspects of historic and contemporary leather work. By using these resources, to further their understanding of traditional construction techniques both student and master are able to mature in their craft. Through research and application the craftsmen, of Equestrian Classics, will help to ensure that the bond between the past and future will remain strong. The craftsmen who work in the studio and those who are associated with Equestrian Classics have and continue to make leather goods for the most prominent equines in the world; and for their owners. For over a quarter of a century these skilled artisans have serviced the pride of the sales arena, the racing stables, and breeding sheds throughout the world. In anticipation and preparation for the 2010 World Equestrian Games, the staff and craftsmen of Equestrian Classics are committed to creating a collection of traditional and unique leather items for the international sport horse community and all those who appreciate the world of the horse.
